Save money on expensive garage fees and reset your own 'inspection' and 'oil service' periodical reminders with this handy reset unit made for BMW, Mini and Rover 75 vehicles manufactured between 2001 and 2007.
Please note that BMW's manufactured after 2001 have a new connector type. To ensure your car will work with this tool, please check it has a 16 pin connector [to fit the one shown in our pictures] under the dashboard.
For the reset tool to work with your car it must be OBD II compliant. To verify this you need to check the Vehicle Emission Control Information [VECI] label which is located under the hood near the radiator of most vehicles. If compatible, the labels states "OBD II certified". Additional government regulations state that all OBD II compliant vehicles must have a "common" 16 pin Data Link Connector [DLC].
For your vehicle to be OBD II compliant it must have a 16 pin DLC underneath the dashboard.

How Do I Use the Reset Tool?

- Plug into the OBD II socket of your car
- All the LED lights on the front of the unit will blink and will then remain lit
- Turn the ignition key, but don't turn on the engine
- Press the button of the function you wish to perform
- The LED of your chosen operation will remain lit and the others will turn off
- The LED's will then all light to indicate that the reset was a success
